Ten Charged After Billion-Dollar Anti-Money Laundering Raid in Singapore

Arrests and Asset Seizures Follow Major Crackdown on Alleged Money Laundering Syndicate

Ten individuals, all linked to an extensive anti-money laundering operation in Singapore, have been charged after a series of raids across high-end residences. The crackdown seized assets worth approximately S$1 billion, including cash, luxury goods, and properties. The suspects, primarily from Fujian, China, were arrested in different locations such as Good Class Bungalows (GCBs) and upscale condominiums.

Among those arrested were Su Haijin, a Cypriot national who had lived in a luxury bungalow in Ewart Park and attempted to flee during the raid, and his older brother Su Baolin, who holds a Cambodian passport and was involved in a construction company. Other suspects include Zhang Ruijin and Lin Baoying, a couple from China, who were found to have amassed substantial wealth and held passports from various countries with minimal residency requirements.

The operation, which targeted both business operations and personal assets, also resulted in the confiscation of millions in cash, luxury items, and prohibition of disposal orders for several properties. The individuals are facing charges related to money laundering, forgery, and other financial crimes.
