Vaccines without HSA approval allowed if approved by WHO for emergency use
In a move to provide more options for Covid-19 vaccination, Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that healthcare providers will be allowed to offer additional types of vaccines through the private sector. This includes vaccines that have not yet received approval from the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) but are authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) for emergency use.
The Ministry clarified that these vaccines will be available under the Special Access Route (SAR), though individuals choosing these alternatives must do so at their own cost and bear any associated risks.
