SIM Marks 60th Anniversary with New S$60 Million Fund to Benefit 10,000 Learners

Chairperson Euleen Goh Highlights Commitment to Accessible Education

Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) is marking its 60th anniversary with the launch of a S$60 million fund, aimed at benefiting 10,000 learners over the next decade, starting in 2025. This fund is a significant increase from the institution’s previous average annual disbursement of S$1 million over the past five years.

Euleen Goh, SIM’s chairperson and a well-known banking veteran, emphasized the institution’s commitment to social responsibility, stating that the focus is on using SIM’s profits to contribute to society and provide accessible education pathways for all. She shared that SIM’s mission is to “do good, catalyse good, and promote good,” reflecting the institution’s strong social impact goals.

The story of SIM’s growth from a small classroom in 1964 to one of Singapore’s leading private education and lifelong learning institutions illustrates its long-standing dedication to expanding educational opportunities. With two campuses now covering about 20 football fields in total, SIM continues to grow, focusing on empowering individuals and fostering social mobility through education.
