New Members Include Key Industry Representatives from Trade Associations and Chambers
Lim Ming Yan has been re-elected as the chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) for a third consecutive two-year term. The announcement was made during the 22nd Annual General Meeting on June 27, 2024.
In addition to the re-election of Lim, six new members were appointed to the SBF council for the 2024-2026 term. Notably, three of the newly appointed members represent trade associations and chambers: Daijiro Eguchi (President of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Elisa Mallis (Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce), and Lennon Tan (President of the Singapore Manufacturing Federation).
Other new council members include Sherman Kwek (Group CEO of City Developments Ltd), Marcus Lam (Executive Chairman of PwC Singapore), and Jenny Lee (Senior Managing Partner at Granite Asia Capital).
Along with the new appointments, six members, including Lim, will continue their roles on the council for another term. Nine members have stepped down after completing their terms. In addition, the council elected seven office bearers, with Andrew Kwan (Group Managing Director of Commonwealth Capital) serving as Vice-Chairman and Honorary Secretary, and Mark Lee (CEO of Sing Lun Industrial) serving as Vice-Chairman and Honorary Treasurer.
