Craft Beer Maker Introduces ‘Made in Singapore’ Whisky, Gin, and Rum
RedDot BrewHouse has expanded its offerings, venturing into the world of spirits with its newly launched distillery. Known for its craft beer, the company now produces whisky, gin, and rum, all proudly Made in Singapore.
The production process for these spirits shares similarities with brewing. According to Crystalla Huang, the brewmaster at RedDot BrewHouse, the process involves fermenting a beer-like product before distillation and aging in barrels. “We already have the expertise in fermentation; it’s not like we had to relearn it,” she explained.
The distillery includes a 1,000 sq ft cellar with over 100 barrels, underscoring the scale of its new operation. RedDot BrewHouse aims to add a unique, local twist to the spirits market, offering a diverse selection alongside its well-known craft beers.
