Leadership Change to Strengthen Vision of Global Energy Merchant
SINGAPORE: Pavilion Energy, the Temasek-owned company specialising in liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports, has appointed Alan Heng as its group chief executive officer (CEO), effective from April 1. Heng has been serving as the interim CEO since August 2021, following the departure of Frederic H Barnaud, who stepped down to return to Europe to be with his family.
Heng, who joined Pavilion Energy in 2013, brings over 34 years of experience in the energy sector. Before becoming interim CEO, he was the managing director for Asia at the company and held various leadership roles at ExxonMobil.
Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, chairman of Pavilion Energy, praised Heng as a “steady partner” in the company’s development since its founding. The board expressed confidence that under Heng’s leadership, Pavilion Energy will continue making strong strides towards its goal of becoming Singapore’s global energy merchant.
Headquartered in Singapore, Pavilion Energy is involved in natural gas supply and marketing across Southeast Asia and Europe, global LNG trading, shipping, and optimisation, as well as energy hedging and financial services.
