Survey Shows a Positive Outlook for Wages and Bonuses in 2024 and 2025
Employers in Singapore’s energy and utilities sector are expected to offer the highest bonuses in 2025, with all respondents planning to provide at least one month or more of bonus pay. According to a survey by ManpowerGroup, the transport, logistics, and automotive sectors will lead in salary increments, with 91% of employers in these industries planning a salary increase of 3% or more.
The survey, which covered 525 employers, found that 89% plan to award bonuses averaging more than one month, a rise from 84% in the previous year. Notably, 35% of employers intend to give between one and one-and-a-half months of bonus pay, and 12% aim to provide more than one-and-a-half months, marking an increase from the previous year.
Regarding salary increments, 82% of employers plan to raise wages by at least 3%, reflecting a positive trend for workers in the coming year.
