Alumni Return for Spectacular Performance at “The Dream Emporium” Concert
The ChildAid 2024 concert, marking its 20th anniversary, saw a star-studded return of alumni performers, including pianist Jessie Meng (17), R&B singer Riszuan Syah (19), and guitarist Alex Hooi (22), who were joined by 80 other performers. The event, held on Nov 29 and 30, was titled “The Dream Emporium” and showcased a captivating world where children’s dreams came to life through song, dance, and AI technology.
President Tharman Shanmugaratnam graced the event, which raised approximately S$2.1 million through ticket sales and donations from prominent sponsors like UOB, TTJ Design & Engineering, and Mohamad Abdul Jaleel, CEO of MES Group. The funds raised will benefit the School Pocket Money Fund, which supports children from low-income families, and Budding Artists Fund (BAF), which assists talented youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
