Leadership Transition Set for October 1
Seah Kian Peng, who recently assumed the role of Speaker of Parliament, will step down as CEO of NTUC Enterprise (NE) to focus on his duties as Speaker. His resignation, effective October 1, will also include relinquishing his positions on the boards of NE’s social enterprises.
Adeline Sum, the current deputy CEO of NTUC Enterprise, will take over from Seah. Sum brings over three decades of experience across various roles within NE, and her leadership is seen as a natural progression for the organization. NE Chairman Lim Boon Heng expressed confidence in Sum’s abilities to lead, citing her proven track record and deep understanding of the industry.
Seah reflected on his tenure, noting that NE had embarked on a transformational journey during his leadership, with key milestones such as the launch of Trust, NE’s digital bank, and efforts to stabilize the cost of living during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This leadership change marks the next phase for NTUC Enterprise, with Sum expected to continue its progress and commitment to its social enterprises and the community.
