Singapore, US ink MOU to boost environmental and climate protection cooperation

New partnership aims to enhance climate resilience and sustainability efforts

Singapore and the United States have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen their cooperation on key environmental and climate-related issues. The MOU, signed by Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu and US Undersecretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere Richard Spinrad, covers topics such as climate monitoring, coastal science, flood resilience, and heat resilience. The partnership will involve technical exchanges, joint projects, and information sharing between Singapore’s Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This agreement marks a step forward in both countries’ longstanding efforts to address climate change.
