Aetos Partners with SkillsFuture to Transform Security SMEs Digitally and Upskill Workforce

The partnership aims to support the digital transformation of the security sector and enhance skills development for SMEs

AETOS Holdings has partnered with SkillsFuture Singapore to drive digital transformation and workforce upskilling for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the security sector. As the first SkillsFuture “queen bee” appointed in the security industry, Aetos will mentor SMEs under the Queen Bee programme, helping them adopt new technologies and business strategies.

The collaboration aligns with the Security Industry Transformation Map 2025, which seeks to enhance the sector’s capabilities and future-readiness. Through this three-year partnership, Aetos will equip security agencies with the skills to improve their digital operations, focusing on integrating technology for outcome-based security and business transformation.

Aetos will provide two main pathways for participating SMEs: one focusing on employee professionalisation and job redesign, and another on digitalisation and automation. These pathways aim to boost employee productivity and ease the transition to integrated technology solutions.

Aetos plans to train over 5,000 learners and mentor 100 proof-of-concept projects for security agencies, while providing bespoke training in high-demand areas like command centre monitoring, intruder alarm systems, and integrated security systems. The initiative also offers SMEs access to workshops and one-on-one consultations with experts to develop tailored solutions and bridge skills gaps among employees.

Aetos senior executive director Jerry See highlighted the importance of technology and skills in overcoming current manpower challenges in the security sector. SkillsFuture Singapore chief executive Tan Kok Yam emphasized the opportunity for SMEs to leverage Aetos’ expertise to enhance innovation and digitalisation in the industry.
