Threatening Words Led to Arrest and Legal Action
A 36-year-old Australian man is set to face charges after allegedly making a threat to crash an aircraft at Singapore’s Changi Airport. The incident occurred on November 23, 2024, when the man boarded a flight scheduled for departure and reportedly told a cabin crew member that he wanted to crash the plane.
Following the threat, the man was promptly removed from the flight and escorted to a holding room, where he allegedly repeated the same threat. The Singapore Police Force confirmed on December 8, 2024, that the man will be charged with two counts of using threatening words to cause alarm. The authorities did not disclose the man’s name or the details of the flight he was attempting to board.
