The seasoned leader will oversee CAG’s growth, including the ambitious Terminal 5 project.
SINGAPORE – Lim Ming Yan, current chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), will assume the position of Changi Airport Group (CAG) chairman on 1 April 2025, as announced by the Ministry of Finance (MOF). Ahead of this, Lim, 61, will take on the role of deputy chairman starting 1 January 2025.
Extensive Leadership Experience
Lim brings a wealth of experience to CAG, having held key leadership roles across industries:

Board director of Enterprise Singapore.
Independent non-executive directorships at Sembcorp Industries, DLF Cyber City Developers, and China Vanke.
In addition, Lim serves as Singapore’s non-resident High Commissioner to Mauritius. Previously, he was:

CAG’s Strategic Growth Under New Leadership
With Lim at the helm, CAG will embark on its next growth phase, including the development of Terminal 5, a transformative infrastructure project expected to bolster Changi Airport’s capacity.
The outgoing chairman, Tan Gee Paw, 81, who has served as CAG’s chairman since 2020, will continue on the board as a director to ensure a smooth transition. Tan played a pivotal role in steering Changi Airport through the Covid-19 pandemic and overseeing critical infrastructure upgrades, such as the rejuvenation of Terminal 2, which expanded the airport’s capacity to handle 90 million passengers annually.
Changi Airport’s Post-Pandemic Recovery
CAG’s investments in technology, including robotics and automation, have enhanced operational efficiency and workforce productivity. Passenger traffic is steadily recovering, with connectivity restored to 160 cities served by over 100 airlines, positioning Changi Airport for full recovery by 2025.
Lim’s leadership and expertise in large-scale project development will ensure Changi Airport continues to thrive as a global aviation hub.
