Finance Minister Lawrence Wong announces new support measures to alleviate rising living costs
SINGAPORE: From May 11, every Singaporean household can claim Community Development Council (CDC) vouchers worth S$100. These vouchers can be redeemed at over 16,000 participating heartland merchants and hawkers, offering a boost to local businesses and helping to offset rising living expenses.
The vouchers, along with those distributed in December last year, will remain valid until December 31, 2022.
The initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to support households amid increasing costs. Finance Minister Lawrence Wong had previously outlined this move in Parliament on April 4, as part of efforts to bring forward Budget 2022 measures aimed at easing the financial burden on Singaporeans.
Households can redeem the vouchers online through the Singpass platform. A designated member of the household can log in at go.gov.sg/cdcv, select the CDC Vouchers Scheme 2022, and claim the vouchers. An SMS with a link to the vouchers will be sent to the household member’s phone, which can then be shared with other members of the household for use.
