New Ferry Route to Connect Singapore and Desaru Coast

Batam Fast Ferry to Offer Convenient Transport with Regular Services

SINGAPORE: A new ferry route between Singapore’s Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and Desaru Coast in Malaysia is set to launch, providing travellers with a seamless journey across the sea.

Operated by Batam Fast Ferry, the service will offer a convenient connection for those looking to travel between Singapore and the Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal. The journey is expected to take approximately 90 minutes.

The ferry service will run two round trips daily from Thursdays to Sundays, while there will be one round trip on Mondays through Wednesdays. The frequency of trips may be adjusted based on demand, with ferries accommodating between 150 and 338 passengers.

Although the exact start date has not yet been confirmed, the commencement of the service is contingent upon the border regulations of both Singapore and Malaysia, as well as approval from the relevant maritime authorities.

In addition to the Singapore-Desaru route, the Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal will also serve as a gateway for future travel to Bintan and Batam islands.
